Proof of concept process

As part of the PoC, we will set up an ini­tial cal­cIT basic con­fig­u­ra­tion for you in an abbre­vi­at­ed time­line. In addi­tion to a cal­cu­la­tion struc­ture based on your require­ments, this also con­tains sim­ple libraries and mas­ter data as well as pre­de­fined out­put tem­plates (Word/Excel).

Next Steps

Fol­low­ing the PoC phase, the PoC sys­tem serves as a start­ing point and tem­plate for the lat­er go-live of the final sys­tem. This means that the imple­men­ta­tion effort dur­ing the pro­duc­tive imple­men­ta­tion is sig­nif­i­cant­ly reduced.

AGILE calcIT PRODUCTIVE LAUNCH

The cal­cIT imple­men­ta­tion project basi­cal­ly runs in sev­er­al phas­es, which can dif­fer depend­ing on the soft­ware require­ments. The result of each phase is a func­tion­al ver­sion of cal­cIT, which is joint­ly exam­ined in a fit-gap analy­sis to ensure that it cov­ers your require­ments. BASIC CONFIGURATION

After the kick-off, we will work with you to devel­op the min­i­mum require­ments for a basic sys­tem tai­lored to your needs (scop­ing ses­sion) based on a suit­able indus­try tem­plate. The archi­tec­ture of the basic con­fig­u­ra­tion con­sists of com­po­nent types, hier­ar­chy rules, cal­cu­la­tion rules, sim­ple out­put tem­plates and sim­ple libraries.

INDIVIDUAL CALCULATION SCHEME

Based on the cal­cIT basic con­fig­u­ra­tion, we refine and sup­ple­ment the cal­cu­la­tion struc­tures at all lev­els. Hier­ar­chies, input masks and col­umn views are opti­mized and spe­cif­ic cal­cu­la­tion rules are incor­po­rat­ed. In addi­tion, we map rel­e­vant spe­cial and spe­cial cas­es or alter­na­tive cal­cu­la­tion vari­ants.

LIBRARIES

In order to fill the cal­cu­la­tion with appro­pri­ate data and struc­tures, we help you estab­lish libraries and mas­ter data. To import data or migrate data from oth­er sys­tems, we cre­ate import set­tings for Excel files and/or, if nec­es­sary, sim­ple data inter­faces.

EDITIONS & REPORTS

We’ll cre­ate var­i­ous Word and Excel out­put tem­plates (for quotes and cost reports respec­tive­ly) accord­ing to your tech­ni­cal and lay­out require­ments. Addi­tion­al­ly, it is also pos­si­ble to insert graph­ic ele­ments, such as prod­uct images or dia­grams.

FEATURES & INTERFACES

We’ll work close­ly with you to devel­op con­cepts for addi­tion­al func­tions and non-cal­cu­lat­ing data struc­tures such as orders, ware­house lists and CRM func­tions. Addi­tion­al­ly, we’ll work with the respec­tive spe­cial­ist depart­ments to design solu­tions for con­nect­ing cal­cIT to any third-par­ty soft­ware in use.

TESTS & TRAINING

Before Go-Live, we per­form exten­sive test­ing of all ele­ments of the cal­cIT sys­tem both inter­nal­ly and togeth­er with you. If nec­es­sary, all inter­face process­es are also test­ed. We make the final adjust­ments to the sys­tem and accom­pa­ny you in the train­ing and onboard­ing of end users.
