low code customizing
calcIT was developed as a low-code platform so that all interface elements and masks as well as all calculation rules, logic, output documents, master data records and import mappings can be created and adapted directly in the browser without any programming knowledge. This means that your individual requirements for your calculation, configuration and quotation creation can be implemented with maximum flexibility.
Project Structures
Project structures are mapped using free component types. These include devices, assemblies, materials, purchased parts or “canned” texts. These component types can be nested and combined at any point in the structure, so that individual requirements can be mapped at any time.
Changes to customizing can be versioned and therefore do not affect release capability in any way. A new or adapted calcIT configuration can be transported easily and conveniently, e.g. between the development and production systems.
User Interface
Our graphical editor allows you to easily adapt and edit interfaces and elements in calcIT, such as component or master data types. New input fields can be created just as quickly as entire tables or formatting rules.
Calculation Rules
In a calculation rule editor, common calculation methods and all usable attributes are stored transparently and comprehensibly and can be combined with just a few clicks. For complex formulas, it is also possible to enter any JavaScript function. Relationships between components are defined in the hierarchy editor. This is also where you determine how attributes should be summed up vertically.

INTERCOMPANY
In the digital age, business is becoming increasingly international. Therefore, calcIT is equipped with numerous functions that make international collaboration much easier. All objects in calcIT can be managed in multiple languages. Intuitive tools enable text content to be maintained in any number of languages. Documents and reports can be output in any language at the touch of a button, regardless of the current system language. With intercompany functions and flexible setting options, there are no spatial limits to international collaboration with calcIT.
RIGHTS & ROLES CONCEPT
Every object and every function in calcIT can be addressed individually using rights and roles. Roles, which consist of a specific set of rights, can be freely defined and assigned to individual users.
A user can also hold several roles at the same time or take on different roles in other business units. View sets can be used to configure individual interfaces with specific information and input fields for the respective purpose for different users and user groups.

EVALUATION OF CROSS-PROJECT KEY FIGURES
In addition to controlling individual projects, calcIT makes it possible to evaluate cross-project key figures. Create comprehensive Excel reports across all projects created in calcIT, for example depending on certain divisions, time periods or key figures. Using project management in the CPQ software, freely definable key figures and attributes can be filtered and compared quickly and clearly directly in the program.
FINANCIAL DASHBOARDS
With a dashboard for financial key figures, calculated values in calcIT can be condensed and presented clearly at project or version level. Forecasted sales figures can be used to determine cash flow streams, ROIs, amortization cycles and a wide range of key figures over the entire life cycle of your product.
The range of functions of the CPQ software also includes the calculation of cost and sales shares or the identification of cost drivers. Key figures from different project versions can be compared either directly in calcIT or via an Excel report.
FILLING COST BOOKS
Excel templates can be used to fill the cost books that your customers often use as a requirement. If these contain various types of costs that are not included in your standard calculation, you can define rules that adapt your cost structure to that of the respective cost book.
To reduce this effort, we also offer a flexible Excel add-in that can be used to intuitively create the appropriate Excel templates.
The diverse and extensive export options to Excel ensure flexible and freely definable data output. You can access all attributes defined in calcIT, specify new calculation operations and freely choose the appearance and format of the output.
To create tabular reports in Excel, you can download the free Jasper Reports tool directly in calcIT. This tool allows the extensive configuration of Excel templates, for example for the clear presentation of parts lists, purchase parts lists, budgets, WBS structures, work plans or cost reports.
You can access all attributes defined in calcIT, specify new calculation operations and freely define the appearance and format of the output. Numerous parameters allow additional refinement and parameterization of the output.
PROJET MANAGEMENT
When an order has been recieved, it is usually created as a project and divided into individual subtasks, which in turn are processed by different people. With calcIT, you can divide a large task into as many subtasks as you like and always keep an overview.
