Manz AG is one of the world’s leading technology providers for the production of electronic components and devices as well as lithium-ion batteries and solar modules. Manz AG is an internationally active high-tech mechanical engineering company that develops and produces customer-specific systems as well as standardized individual machines and modules. Short response and delivery times are guaranteed through production sites in Germany, China, Taiwan, Slovakia, Hungary and Italy and it’s service branches throughout the world.

From complex Excel tables and inconsistent data storage to flexible calculation options for complex special machines in a central tool.
INITIAL SITUATION
Before introducing calcIT, Manz AG calculated using an Excel template. This tool did not offer any interfaces to other upstream or downstream systems. As a result, the calculation involved a lot of manual effort. However, since the company operates in a dynamic environment, it is essential for Manz to react quickly to new circumstances. Due to the high degree of flexibility and quick adaptability of calcIT, the quotation calculation at Manz is made more transparent and simpler and mostly automated.
SPECIALLY IMPLEMENTED REQUIREMENTS
Manz AG now benefits from some functionalities. For example, Excel reports with graphics, mass changes using manipulation rules, mapping an approval workflow or implementing various views (“View sets”) for different employees. The tool has also been set up for global use.
