KUKA AG – about the company
KUKA AG, headquartered in Augsburg, Germany, KUKA is a globally active group and offers custom-made automation solutions – from the cell to the fully automated system. The group has sales of around 3.5 billion euros and almost 14,200 employees. KUKA is one of the world’s leading providers of automation solutions, with success across many customer projects.
The project
The calcIT calculation and quotation project kicked off with clear requirements detailed specifications, which solidified a standard calcIT solution.
INITIAL SITUATION
Before developing and introducing calcIT, KUKA AG used an in-house calculation tool. It was hard-coded and changes required considerable development effort. For this reason, a low-code system was selected to alleviate the daunting maintanence tasks.
Requirement specifications were submitted and the goal of the abilis team was to develop a standard solution based on these needs. The solution needed to be industry-independent and flexible. With calcIT, abilis developed an extremely agile solution that made it possible to handle individual and complex requirements.
SPECIALLY IMPLEMENTED REQUIREMENTS
KUKA now benefits from extensive and flexible calculations, a clear authorization concept, price splitting, Excel and Word add-ins for document output, import options with mapping integrity, and much more! Because it is web-based and multilingual, the tool can be used anywhere and worldwide. Working in simultaneously in the system is also no problem!
calcIT’s Value Add
Software for detailed calculation of complex and fully automated systems and robot cells
Automated quote creation
Faster creation of calculations and adjustments, without major programming effort
